The Mayor’s Office of Census 2010 will build a volunteer corps of neighborhood leaders that will serve as the mobilizing arm of our three Complete Count Committees. Working with local council districts, neighborhood council leaders, community organizations, churches, and businesses, this corps will support outreach and education activities.
There are many different ways you can get involved in the outreach effort for the 2010 census. Some examples include: joining a Regional Complete Count Committee; e-mailing your family and friends about the importance of participating in the 2010 census; distributing informational materials at community events; and participating in canvassing activities, where volunteers will be distributing door hangers in hard to count communities to raise awareness about the upcoming Census.
