2000 Census Hard to Count Maps of the City of Los Angeles
These maps represent Census tracts in the City of Los Angeles. Darker shaded tracts reflect areas that are more likely to be “Hard-to-Count” based on previous Census data.
Each tract is given a score based on the difficulty of counting residents—the higher the score, the less likely those living in the affected census tracts are to be counted. These scores, which range from 0 to 121, take into account factors such as poverty, education, unemployment, language isolation, mobility, race, owner/renter status, and household structure.
